However I wonder what you mean by "guys"? Are you saying that the fair
sex is more likely to name an instrument than us guys are? This could
be true.

Perhaps you should spend more time with your daughter. "Guys" is just a
term used for a heterogeneous group of people, or maybe even a group made up
of all females.
I do not name my instruments, although I'm using a school eefer that was
previously named Arthur(it's written on the case).
