Subj: [kl] Tone & Intonation Help

Hello List Members,
I have been off of the list for a couple of years and had generally lost
interest in playing. I did remain in a band but did little practice. My
interest has picked back up but as would be expected I have lost tonal
quality. Before I stopped practicing I had actually received several
compliments about my tone quality. Now I would like to get my tone back,
naturally in the most efficient way possible. I also now need to use a 64 mm
barrel to get my pitch correct. I wonder if the 2 items are related. I am
looking for any tips that can help me get back up to speed. When I
subscribed to the list before I received some very valuable information on
an embouchre problem I was not aware I had and I am hoping someone may
provide the same kind of help today. I use R-13s, Bb and A. I am currently
using a Van Doren M-13 mouthpiece with V-12 3 1/2 reeds that I balance. I
have several mouthpieces but I don't believe that it is a setup problem. I
have the same pitch problem with any mouthpiece/reed combo. I am currently
reviewing all of my material on good tone and am practicing again with
concentration on tone. Please send any advice you may have directly to me at
jdannenberg3@-----.
Thanks,
Jack Dannenberg
