Professional help will save it. Get it now before things get worse. My
alto clarinet has a repaired crack in it. Leakage through the crack can be
just as bad a leakage from a poorly seating pad. An instrument with a
repaired crack will play just as well as one without. Only resale value is
much affected (everybody wants what they buy to be perfect, even if used).
