As a coincidence, I am already planning to preform the Devienne Second Sonata. I've had the music for literally years, and it has always intrigued me.

I have tried to do some research, but so far, have not yet come up with much on Devienne. Can anyone help by pointing me in the right direction?

If the Sonata was indeed written for C clarinet, I might well order that edition.

Any Devienne scholars out there?
