The only "professional" wind ensembles that pay what you describe as a
normal salary are the numerous bands of the United States Armed
Forces...Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines. However, that also means a
military commitment, and the quality of music does vary band to band--with
the exception of the bands located in Washington D.C.

Like you know how there is like the NY Phil.... well
anything that pays alot (well not like ALOT but like
an normal pay that a person in an orchestra might get)
but is in the wind ensemble instrumentation? The
suggestion can be here (United States) or out of the
country.
