Walter, I once played the Mozart oboe quartet using a C clarinet and a
traditional compliment of 1 violin, 1 viola, and 1 cello. Worked
nicely, though I consider my effort the folly of youth. There is a
fragmentary quintet for clarinet in C, basset horn, and three strings of
Mozart that is available in a completed edition. Franz Beyer did the
completion and his publisher is Edition Kunzelmann.
