Walter Grabner wrote, with reference to intonation problems of his C
clarinet, about successfully improving the situation by adjusting tone holes
and pad heights. He then asks:
Comments? Suggestions?
My ancient Buffet C has different tuning problems which are annoying but
livable for how often I need to use the instrument. Your success makes me a
bit jealous, however, and leads to a suggestion that you try to improve mine
as well next time I'm in Chicago visiting the grandchildren.
By the way - I'm still a happy camper using your mouthpiece!
