Dear Colleagues,

An honor has recently come to me via an invitation to conduct the top group,
the Wind Ensemble, during one of the sessions of one of our better-known
summer music camps this coming summer. One of the challenges, of course, is
the building of a repertoire for perusal and concert performance during the
session. Given that I am retired from school conducting for almost 20 years,
I have a working knowledge of the "traditional" literature (Holst,
Hindemith, Grainger, Jacob, etc.), but my acquaintance with more recent
publications is not what it should be

Would anyone who feels an inclination to do so, please list two or three of
your favorite wind band publications of the past five years or so, that
would constitute an achievable challenge to fine high school players.
Certainly (to earmark the relevance of this message to the list) juicy
clarinet parts could sway your choices :-) And, I would be more than willing
to provide a compilation of your recommendations to any who are interested.

Thanks so much for your help!

Kent
