Dear list,
I have recently found a record which on its musicians listing includes Denis
Colin playing "octocontralto cl".
I am wondering whether octocontralto is a mistake for a normal contra-alto
clarinet or whether he was perhaps playing one of the 3 Leblanc
octocontra-alto clarinets in Eb made in the early 1970s.
The LP is Alan Silva/The Celestrial Communication Orchestra-The
Shout/Portait from a Small Woman
Sun SEB 003 F rec Paris, Studio Davot 11/78 andI got what information I have
about it from http://www.center-of-the-world.de/Celestrial.html
Does anyone else know anything about this disc or about Denis Colin or have
any contact information for him so I can investigate further what clarinet
he is playing?
