Andrew -

Are you using the right size and thickness of pads. Some clarinets have deeper pad cups than others. If you cannot see at least 1mm of pad below the pad cup, you are guaranteed to have leaks, even if the feeler gauge catches all around the pad.

Where did you get the pads, and are they "rated" for the clarinet you are using?
