The Star Trek Series with Delancy (john?) in it featured the son of John
DeLancy the Oboist who was the director of the Curtis Institute.

Here's a good one for you - the movie RED DRAGON has an Orchestral start
with an Orchestra playing the Mendelsohn Scherzo. Here's the kicker - the
conductor is Lalo Schifrin who is David Shifrin's cousin. Music was by Danny
Elfman with Lalo conducting the orchestra on screen.

Yes, David and Lalo spell it differently but they are indeed cousins.
