One further thought. Although this is MY personal favorite there are other facings that work well. Some mouthpieces go out to 2.00 and beyond.

As long as the facing is consistent - it is a smooth and even curve - it is amazing to me how many variations will work, and work well.

Of equal, or more importance, are the baffle profile, the chamber size, shape and depth, and degree of angle of the side walls.
