Gads. They must be jazz and blues players with bigger, smarter left thumbs
than mine! Mine's a dumb thumb. A stunted dumb thumb. Unless the stunted,
dumb sector of the wetware misunderstands how this trick is done, laying my
thumb down on the frets means I can't reach the frets with my equally stunted
but somewhat less dumb 4th and 5th fingers. I should leave the guitar to the
guitarists anyway--"Land of a Thousand Dances" is about my speed on guitar.
