With respect to the "Kegelstatt" Trio, Mozart K.498, does anyone know of a
published arrangement for Piano, Clarinet and Cello instead of Viola? I have

an excellent recording of Emanuel Ax, Richard Stoltzman and Yo-Yo Ma playing
it, with Yo-Yo Ma playing cello. It is Sony Classical #SK 57 499, recorded
at Jordan Hall, New England Conservatory, June 1993. In the
notes with the disc, Richard Stoltzman says "although the Kegelstatt Trio was

originally scored for piano, clarinet and viola, the cello is quite at home
with the viola range, and certainly Yo-Yo's playing gives one the feeling
Mozart would have approved." I have not been able to find an arrangement
with a cello part and wonder if Yo-Yo Ma transposed it from the viola part
for this recording, or if a written arrangement is available from a
publisher?
