An earlier posting on this list pointed out that the name, which means
"skittle alley", is a misnomer for this trio because it was another piece
which was composed during a game of skittles, not this one, but you'll have
to check the archives as to which it was. I think it was a quintet.

'Kegelstatt' Trio nickname for trio by Mozart, 1756, for clarinet, viola
and piano (a unique combination), K.498, the German nickname ('skittle
