As a much less well known, but equally qualified private arts academy, I
would suggest you consider the Idyllwild Arts Academy located in the San
Jacinto Mountains just east of Hemet, California. Originally the Idyllwild
School of Music and the Arts --"Isomata" -- was part of the USC School of
Music but went independent in the 80s. In addition to the summer program,
for the past 15 or so years now they've had a year-round arts academy.
Their Website is: www.idyllwildarts.org
The intriguing aspect of Idyllwild is that students are "bussed" to their
lessons wherever the highest-level teacher available is. For clarinets
students travel 100+ miles to study with instructors at USC (Yehuda Gilad)
and Cal Arts (Bill Powell) -- at least they did when I was part of the
administration there. YMMV, but I would definitely check them out.

p.s. I would also seriously check my spelling and grammar before sending in
my application for admission. They also have very high academic standards.
