Coming from a shorty who also loves bari, you should consider using a
harness instead of a neckstrap. I'm barely 5 feet tall and I have no
problems reaching the keys when I stand and play. Perhaps you're holding
the instrument at too much of an angle instead of more straight and in front
of you. Keep up with the bari, it'll do wonders for your air support on the
clarinet.
