Subj: [kl] A clarinets needed
Date: Fri, 4 Oct 2002 10:40:17 -0400

Pardon the repetition of this plea. I am still in need of several A clarinets.

I am trying to help out MYA (Midwest Young Artists), the regional orchestra program that my son is in.

MYA is an incredibly successful program with five, yes FIVE orchestras going. The best orchestra, "Symphony Orchestra" is quite honestly better than most college orchestras, except for the major universities and conservatories.

For more info on MYA, see: www.mya.org.

My family feels VERY fortunate to have this program available for my son. He is in the middle orchestra right now, and just took up Double Bass because they needed help in that section and he's got BIG hands.

Anyway-

Many of the younger clarinetists are having their first "need" for an A clarinet, and unfortunately they have few places to turn.

MYA has three used "A" clarinets, which I maintain for them free of charge, but they could use several more. Also some of the parents have expressed a desire to purchase used instruments.

If you have an old A clarinet that you wish to donate, please notify me. I will set up the clarinet so that it is playing condition (no charge to MYA) and make sure you get a receipt from the program for tax purposes.

You you have an A clarinet that you wish to sell, please notify me. As I said, I have been in contact with several parents who wanted to buy a used A.

Thanks,
Walter Grabner

I repair "unusual" clarinets....normal ones too!
