One of my favorite clarinet CD's is:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0000026F3/qid%3D1033587706/sr%3D11-1/ref%3Dsr%5F11%5F1/002-4024582-6706465

It's Benny Goodman playing some incredible classical/jazz crossover works,
plus the original recording of the Bartok Contrasts (to connect with
another current thread on Klarinet...). No clarinet player should be
without this CD.

Definitely. Margot is a wonderful musician (and my teacher, when I can
scrape up enough money for lessons), and this CD is spellbinding.

I'd also recommend any of David Krakauer's recordings
(http://www.davidkrakauer.com/recordings.html), especially "A New Hot
One." David Krakauer plays a more avant garde version of Klezmer (with a
large jazz influence) than Margot Leverett (who is more traditional
klezmer), but he is an amazing, amazing player, a great composer/arranger,
and his bass clarinet work is simply marvelous.
