I say this partly in jest, but think about the instruction that probably
*every* new clarinet student receives:

The student is handed an "easy peces for clarinet" book with
trumpet/piano/strings/vocal/etc music in it, and the student is told to
play it all on the clarinet!

Talk about starting innocent students off in the wrong direction!
