..... dentists will tell you that there are a few viruses and prions
that nothing can kill, short of such drastic treatment that would
destroy a mouthpiece. The Sterisol that I mentioned says on its label:

To sanitize, immerse for one minute. To disinfect, immerse for 10
minutes. If equipment is dirty, wash first (which I do with the
vinegar soak).
