Quite apart from the excellence of what he has to say in his notes
about the Weber, I particularly applaud Ken's move here in providing a
crossreference from one forum to another.

I just did the same the other way around whilst visiting the Bulletin
Board, providing a reference to a post in the Klarinet Archives, and
others there may have done that too. (BTW, how you do that on the BB is
to use the shortcut of putting the URL in <>s in your message, Mark has
told me -- no need for fancy html.)

It's a good system, because there are advantages and disadvantages in
both forums. You don't get all the lazy quoting on the BB, because the
context is already there; but you have to access the whole thread each
time. Whereas on Klarinet you can respond to one particular idea more
easily, but then the thread easily goes offtopic unless you change the
header. For this reason, I actually think people should change the
header more frequently on Klarinet.

I do have a question for Mark. There is a device on the BB that allows
you to 'mark all read', and then when you next load the page, the
threads that have been added to meanwhile show up with a 'new' tag.
That's a terrific help, but it still means that if I want to check
whether or not an older thread I'm interested in is still alive, I have
to work my way back through several pages. On Klarinet I just see the
new ones arrive.

Would it be possible to implement a 'show all new' from the entry page?
I do appreciate that that might be completely unfeasible.

Thanks again for all your work, by the way:-)

Tony
