The crack COULD be the problem. Also, make sure the pad on the right hand
ring key is sealing well. It may not be seating, or it might be held up by
the adjustment of the bridge mechanism between the two joints. Each joint
could test fine alone, but if that adjustment is off it will wreak havoc on
those notes.
