This is a standard recommendation, Paula.

However, in English we often say "with a flat chin" because "dropping
the jaw" is a different thing, usually done in order to change the pitch
(in order to "bend a note").

Another common recommendation is to use a round embouchure, such as when
an American says "o-o-o-h". (I'm not sure whether "oooh" is the
proper phonetic in Italian).
