I very much agree. It is not the mouthpiece I use for jazz playing (I
still get a bigger sound out of the Selmer C85 115), but it is PERFECT for
band work. By the way, as I believe I have mentioned before, I always have
trouble with Vandoren mouthpieces (have tried 5RV, B44, B45, B46 so
far). They all seem to play very FLAT for me in the altissimo register, a
problem I do NOT have with other brands. I do use a B46 on my old nasty
Selmer BT, though, since it corrects perfectly for its otherwise very SHARP
altissimo.
