Joe--

Please reread your post. You begin by talking about Vandoren mouthpieces,
and then say how you love the sounds of Leister, Kloecker, et.al. You then
ask if anyone has an opinion on "them." "Them" could be Leister, Kloecker,
etc. as mouthpieces or as clarinetists--it is not clear (Obviously, they are
major artists).

Now that you have clarified that you are asking about mouthpiece
alternatives to the Vandorens referenced...

Have you tried mouthpieces by Greg Smith (Chicago Symphony) or Richard
Hawkins? Also Robert Borbeck's Antares II is a good mouthpiece, but one has
to be a bit careful or the sound can spread.

David,

Thanks for stating the obvious. It needs no pointing
out that the great aforementioned players sound great
because they are great. That wasn't my question. I
just wanted opinions on the M13 mouthpiece from pros
on this list. I will not clarify any further, as I'm
sure my post was easy enough to understand where I was
coming from. I didnt solicit nor need a "lesson" in
the obvious. And yes... I do my clarinet homework. Do
you?
