OK, if "tooting your own horn" bothers you,
(which makes me very uncomfortable, feeling
compelled to speak for myself), then whom
would you suggest? There must be hundreds of
people on the Klarinet List. I know that many
are Professors of Clarinet Performance. Some
must also have proficiency in Bach / Hindemith
Counterpoint and in Mid-20th Century Chromatic
Modal Harmony (@-----.

I've already sent scores of my "Trio for Flute,
Oboe and Bb Clarinet" (Jan. 2002, 5 mvts., 15
min.) to some Klarinet List Members, who didn't
seem to appreciate the contrapuntal devices in the
3-Voiced Fugue in the Slow, Second Movement.
(I don't hear any of them defending me on this
List.)=20

But I also sent some Klarinet List Members
my "Suite for Two Bb Soprano Clarinets" (tran-
scribed from a work for 2 Bassoons, Jan. 2002,
5 mvts., 18 min., which is also called my "Duo
Suite"). I've also sent transcriptions of it to Trom-
bonists, Euphonists, Cellists, Bassoonists, Bb
Bass Clarinetists, and an octave higher to Violists
and Bb Soprano Clarinetists. None of all those
musicians caught the fact on their own, that the
4th Movement is the ONLY time in all known
Music History, (according to a growing list of
Counterpoint Professors), that a Melody is Har-
monized by it's own Retrograde-Inversion a
Major 7th lower in Chromatic Modal (Non-12-
Tone) Harmony!=20

If my works are so mediocre, then why is it that
only Avant Garde Composers and Counterpoint
Experts can appreciate them? Why is it that there
has already been an entire Dissertation written
about me? There must be a few such experts on
the Klarinet List. Please let me know who they
are, and I can send them examples like the Triple
Fugue 4th Movement of my "Sonata No. 1 for
Horn and Piano", or the 4-Voiced Fugue Second
Movement from my "Sonata for Unaccompanied
Violin", and maybe your experts can tell the rest
of you, if I'm a fraud or the real thing.

I've met people like Dr. Donald Erb, Dr. Shulamit
Ran, and studied with Dr. Chinary Ung. I know
what they think of my music. I've been through this
song and dance on the Viola and Horn Lists a few
years ago. I know what they think of my music.
Now maybe it's time that some of the Klarinet List
Members find out for themselves.
