September 11 that annoyed me. I won't speak for others, but personally, the
details of how greatly acclaimed your songs are, how unique your fugues,
etc. etc. are mentioned to the point that you sound like a broken record.<<

Maison:

We are in the Arts, and artist have large egos. It is what allows us to get
up in front of a group of people and toot our horn, sing our song, practice
our specialty, weather it be painting, photographing, healing or one of the
musical arts. If we don't toot our own horn first, how can we expect anyone
else to do it for us. Acclaim only comes after exposure and exposure only
comes to those who work to see that it happens to them.

If it offends you to have someone push his or her work, then you do not
understand the nature of the business. First you must have the talent to do
the work, and there are many who have. Then you must fight to have your
work seen and heard, fewer are able to reach this goal and last you must
promote the acceptance of the work as something special. For every one who
reaches this level there are thousands who have tried and given up. I for
one have no problem with someone tooting his own horn. It just may be that
he is one of the very few who are truly gifted and will be remembered, but
it will only happen through self promotion and hard work.
