Because there are eight 1/8-notes in 4/4 time, and because I've also
included some inversions, the 'quirky' leaps appear at different
locations in different measures.

Now that several people have said that it's OK to beam three eighths
together and to leave a 'straggler' by itself (or beamed into the
following notes), I feel comfortable about going through the piece and
breaking/extending beams as appropriate. Fortunately I don't think
that I will need to cross any barlines.
