I would suggest trying a few things. These may not be as direct or
definitive as you would like, but I suspect you will learn a lot. (If
you've already tried these and exhausted the possibilties, my
apologies.)
1. Take a look at the articles in the Online Clarinet Resource:
http://www.ocr.woodwind.org/articles/index.html There are several
articles there with references to tone, reeds, and other issues raised
in your questions.
2. Take a look at the articles in Sherman Friedland's corner.
http://www.woodwind.org/clarinet/Friedland/index.html For example, the
article http://www.woodwind.org/clarinet/Friedland/Repertoire003.html
directly responds to your question 7.
3. Try some searches. Go to
http://www.woodwind.org/Databases/LogsIndex/index.html. In the Search
box, enter "crystal mouthpiece" and hit Search. Or enter "synthetic
reed" and hit Search. And so on. Adding more words will help narrow the
search - but sometimes it's worth spending the time to read a bunch of
posts.
Of course, you'll have to make your own judgements about what you read
and its relevance.
Hope this helps,
