For those who are interested - The Southern Medical Journal via
Medscape.com have published an article on medical issues specific to
musicians. It can be found at this link:

(Medscape.com will require a free (last I checked) registration, but
then you should be able to access the article).
The article is geared towards educating primary-care physicans about
the general issues, so it is rather cursory, but it does have references
for further info. One frustration: it is very cursory in dealing with
treatments. You probably won't find anything in here that we aren't
already familiar with as clarinetists, but it may be useful to your
physician if s/he doesn't deal with a lot of musicians.
