Slander! (Or, if web-posting akin to publication, Libel!) I had a sense of humor, but am now *fully* recovered.
As far as Neil's gathering goes, I will point out that, as a class, lawyers are at least a wee bit sociable. Empirical evidence suggests that a portion of them are congregating at a cash bar with some fine clarinet accompaniment. Maybe not as much fun as a rodeo, but at least Neil gets a gig, possibly a free/hosted drink or two and perhaps a glimpse of the hottie at table number three . . .
Next week I'm going to the West Coast festival of the American Society of Corporate Secretaries. Now THAT's a party, let me tell you.
