With all those extracurricular activities I guess you will be kissing
off your regular classes as well as practicing your instruments. If you
are serious about both the flute and clarinet why not expand a little -
start the sax or oboe or bassoon. 'Doublers' (play more than 1
instrument) that play oboe or bassoon proficiently are a valuable
addition to bands that do show work. But, in the beginning stages take
lessons from a good professional player. You want to get the correct
start regarding embouchure.
