Donald Oehler wrote that Senfter was Israeli.
In case anyone believes this here is what I know.

She was born at Oppenheim, Germany in 1879
At three she copy songs she heard on the piano.
At six she composed and her mother wrote down
her compositions. She had her first formal
music lessons in violin and piano at eight. Due to illness
she did not go to school until thirteen. She attended the
Hochschule in Frankfurt in 1895 and in several other towns.
She completed her music studies at aged 24 and attended
Max Reger's class in Leipzig in 1908-9. Up to 1916
when Reger died, the Senfter and Reger families were
friends. After 1945 she continued to composer, while
living with her sister Sophie in Opperheim. Sophie died
in 1955. Johanna died at Opperheim in 1961.She wrote
134 compositions - nine symphonies, some sonatas,
chamber works and lieder, but no operas.
Aaron Cohen (International Encyclopedia of
Women Composers, 1987) would have told us,
if she had been an Israeli.
