....I should've avoided using the word "grip" because it suggests that
your fingers will grip the instrument, which they shouldn't. It's the
solid connection between your right thumb and your embouchure that
"support" the instrument's weight and hold it in proper position,
leaving each finger free to contact or pull away from a hole or key, as
each note requires.
