Subj: [kl] Clarinet rolling.

This is a rank beginner question, and I know that the correct answer is
get a teacher, but I'll ask it anyway.

When I play F, F#, G, A, Bb (left hand only in the chalumeau register)
my clarinet (Buffet R13) wants to roll clockwise (looking down the
clarinet from the moutphiece). This throws off my embouchure
(especially the all open G). I've experimented with the thumbrest
position and thumb position relative to the thumb rest. By cradling
the thumbrest past the thumb knuckle I can prevent the rolling. But
that means having to shift the right hand back and forth. TIA for any
suggestions.

Britt
