It's an eye opener to hear that there are two sides to this coin. It
seemed (emphasis on past tense!) to me that using both hands was clearly
the easier method.

Those of us who have heard Martin Powell's CD (Son et Lumiere) know that
his fingering is not slow or sloppy! So when Martin says that he
prefers one-handed where possible, you can't ignore his statement.
