Why not just call it what it was called when it was invented? I think it was
called bass clarinet. That is the term that has been used for who knows how
long. I don't see anything wrong with it. Do you call a Euphonium a
coratenor ot trumpatenor? Do you call a tuba a trupabass or a corabass?
For that matter, why are you changing the name of the bass clarinet? Why not
just keep the bass clarinet name the same and call the Bb clarinet a Bb
soprano bass clarinet or maybe you prefer Bb soprano claibass? How about not
trying to fix what is not broken?
