There's been a few performances of the Brahms Quintet where I've been
"overwhelmed" by the 1st violin emoting so much as to be distracting.
ClarinetFest 2001 comes to mind ...

The musician is the musical vehicle. If one doesn't like movement, don't
watch the musician. I seriously doubt that what is heard is influenced by
movement of the musician.
