Most crochet hooks that I've seen recently have been aluminum (not
particularly flexible....) or plastic. I'm thinking that one of the _old_
thin knitting needles would work if a notch was cut into the end to make a
hook. I'm also wondering why a plain crochet hook wouldn't work. Most of
them are a bit shorter- I've used them for this purpose before- but there
are special afgan hooks that are very long due to the intended purpose.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful summer (...or winter I suppose...)
Best Wishes,
Anne
