Yup. Just save them to HD as a WAV file, clean them up if necessary, and
then do a transfer to the CD-R (it's not exactly WAV format on a CD, but
close).

Still no alternative for my DAT... Would luv to record clarinet
jitterless on tape for burning them to cdr(w).

Take a look at portable hard disk recorders. They're become very affordable.
