Mark, as far as I seem to understand at the moment the now available
(sony) MD players do not have that (optical out) anymore. See the
(latest and very, very beautiful model=20
Sony MZ-N1 Blue MiniDisc Walkman on which you can record also MP3 and
transfer files up to 32x faster (through USB) via PC (software). But,
not possible to transfer those files either directly from MD or from PC
(!!) to CDR(W) .
Mark, what do you burn than to CD... WAV/WMA (digital) which can be
listened to by (any) cd-player?
(I know that flossy compression algorithm... I always taped myself and
students and concerts life and on radio on DAT, but my mini-dat has
died, and there seems no alternative at the moment...)

Still no alternative for my DAT... Would luv to record clarinet
jitterless on tape for burning them to cdr(w).=20
