My system feeds the audio signal from the Shure microphone into a mixer
which also receives the MIDI accompanying playback signal from my
laptop. I hear my accompaniment via earphones. There is no speaker output
because of the inevitable feedback problem. The output from the mixer goes
into my Windows 95 system where a .wav file is created for later processing.

have the speed to be able to handle MIDI output and analog-to-digital input
at the same time.
