Chris, There is a device sold in fabric stores which is used to pull
tapes, elastic, etc. through hems. I carry one in my case, (it cost me
less than $2.00), and have used it a couple of times over the years to
pull a stuck swab out, going in from the direction you would be pulling
the swab from. HTH. Frank
