Magazine.
7or 8 :Wind players generally have to wait until their second teeth have
arrived, so that they can develop an embouchure.

17: Boys begin to discover they have a voice after the
disruption of puberty.

21: Stamina , breath control and good sound are easier to master
for wind
players.

25: Light lyric tenors and sopranos make their first moves into
the profession.

28-29 Baritones begin to come to maturity, then basses.

Early 30s big tenors and sopranos come to a boil.

40s: Wagnerian singers reach their peak.

50s:Light tenors and sopranos begin to bow out.

60s:Heavy voices tend to give out.
80s:Pianist and conductors still going strong.
