Subject: [kl] Polovetsian Dances 5/8 bar

Hi everyone,
I'm preparing Polovetsian Dances for an orchestra rehearsal, and
I'm away from NYC and my recording. In the first movement (marked No.
8), there are several 5/8 bars. It is not marked in the score whether in
these measures the 8th note=8th note, that is, the 8th note from the
previous 6/8 bar is the same as the 8th in the 5/8 bar, or whether the
dotted half from the 6/8 bar@-----. In other
words, do the 5 eights fill the same space as the 6 eights, or is every
8th note the same? I suspect the former, but wanted to check. Thanks a
lot!
