Went to the outdoor concert by the LA Pierce Symphonic Winds that was
suggested by Joel Kabakoff (who plays in the group) and it was terrific.
The whole program was very enjoyable but especially the Artie Shaw Concerto
performed by the LA Opera clarinet player and leader of the group Stephen
Piazza. I hope this isn't blaphemy but I think he played it better than
Artie ever could. I almost had a tear in my eye it was so good. Thanks for
the heads-up Joel and good job! Paul
