Joe,
You might try Ixor to start with the works of Scelsi.
The other two are quite difficult, but very rewarding. So, it depends on
how much time and energy you want to put into the project. Tre Studi is
indicated for Eb clarinet, but I get the impression that he was happy to
hear it on other clarinets, also.

Subject: [kl] Giacinto Scelsi

I was wondering if someone could help - what are the technical levels
required to perform Scelsi's works? I've been thinking about getting
one or
two (Ixor, Tre Studi, Preghiera per un' ombra....) but as I'm an
enthusiastic amateur rather than a pro (or even a college student) I'm a
little worried that they may be beyond my level. Advice, anyone?

Thanks in advance,

-- Joe
