Amazing - I turned 13 the summer of '62 and I still get dewy-eyed when I
recall Acker's borderline corny vibrato. I started the sax that summer and
began studying the clarinet later in college. I knew instantly I never
wanted to sound like that on anything but that didn't stop me from buying
the 45.....
the 45 - oh my god, still have it - scratchy, cracked, label soiled with
unidentifiable stains-refuse to throw it away.
