At the risk of telling you something that you know already, one of
Rossi's products is a one-piece clarinet. This is not "primitive" or
"cheap", however. The purpose is to place one of the tone holes at the
point where the two sections of a 'normal' instrument would connect.
This has an effect on intonation and tone that some people covet, but it
costs some extra money and you must tote a larger case around, and some
repairs are more specialized.

As other people have already posted, the word "primitive" does not apply
to Rossi. "Specialized" and "manufactured by hand one-at-a-time" are
more accurate descriptions.
